What is RSS?
 
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is XML code that allows content providers to quickly deliver information to subscribers. Using RSS-compatible reader software, PA Workforce RSS subscribers can receive immediate notification about news and other content as soon as it’s added to the PA Workforce Web site.
 
RSS Readers display content as headlines, often accompanied by a brief summary and link to the original item. By browsing through the headlines for the RSS feeds you subscribe to, you’ll be able to quickly find items of interest.
 
How do I use it?
To receive an RSS feed, you will need an RSS reader. There are a number of free readers available online for download; others work in your web browser.
 
If you cannot download files, or do not have administrative permission to install software on your computer, an online RSS reader will likely be your best choice.
 
You will find a free, online RSS reader available for your use at www.google.com/reader. To use the reader, you will need to create a free Google account. After you’ve created your account, follow Google’s instructions to subscribe to RSS feeds that interest you.
